Petre Petcut completed a Masters in Romani Studies from l’INALCO, Paris and holds a PhD in History of Bucarest University. His research focuses on the history of the Romanian Roma at the 19th and 20th Century.

He is the main Roma Assistant in the French team of MigRom at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme. He is studying the Roma communities from Dolj.
