Arturo Alvarez Roldán is Associate Professor at the University of Granada (Spain) in the Department of Social Anthropology.

His current research is primarily concerned with two areas: (1) School failure among Romani students and (2) political economy of illegal drugs markets.

He is supervising the implementation of research methods in MigRom project.

Working in the history of loss and oblivion, as in the death of languages.
